Mi Perú Borinqueño originated in 2019 by Chef Jessie and wife Carla,
a restaurant manager, who’s childhood dreams of bringing back
the home flavors of Peru and Puerto Rico cuisine became a reality.
As a young boy assisting his parents after school at their restaurant,
La Cordillera in Orocovis, P.R., along side his brother, he learned from his father, who had no written recipes, draw out the flavors in ordinary cuisines. To this day, the secrets never shared beyond the family.
Carla raised in Cercado de Lima- Peru, assisted her parents with their “Carretilla ” (food stand) along side of her siblings near the Plaza San Martin and the famous Chabuca Granda Park, where a strip of many restaurants served delicious local foods.
After 13 years of experience as a Chef and restaurant manager,
Mi Peru Borinqueño, a name held close to our hearts, is here to bring you
the infused flavors of both Perú and Puerto Rico!
